Chapter 3. BGP and NLRI

Chapter 2, “Introduction to BGP,” showed you how to establish and maintain both EBGP and IBGP sessions. But unlike IGPs, BGP does not advertise any reachability information by default. This chapter demonstrates the techniques for configuring BGP to advertise Network Layer Reachability Information (NLRI) and demonstrates the use of a few simple routing policy tools as an introduction to the more in-depth routing policy discussion in the next chapter.
