If you’ve done something super techie that you are proud of, we
want to know about it. And, if you are selected as one of our winners you will receive a Safari Books Online subscription and an invitation to attend a special event with Tim O’Reilly, CEO and founder of
O’Reilly Media, Inc.

Safari Books Online’s Super Techie Achievement Challenge is here! We are looking for super techie professionals who stand out in our industry – those
who are using technology in creative ways or are helping our community in novel ways.

Tell us about the project that demonstrates your super techie achievement using the form below. If you’re selected as one of the winners, you will receive a 3-month subscription to Safari Books Online and an invitation to join Tim O’Reilly, CEO and founder of O’Reilly Media, Inc., at a special event early next year in California. Winners are selected by a panel of judges; however, community votes and comments are encouraged.

I, give Safari Books Online authorization to post my submission on Safari Books Online blog and use my submission in selected marketing activities associated with the contest.

 
 


*Only legitimate and complete submissions will be considered and posted on the blog. The submission must pertain to a technical project that you worked on within the last 12 months and must also include specific details about the project.
Here’s how it works:
  • Submit your project details using the submission form no later than
    Monday, November 30, 2009. Please do not include graphics or images in your actual submission. You may, however, include links to graphics or video that is published elsewhere (like your blog or YouTube). All submissions must include recent work (work that was completed within the last 12 months).
  • Please include information like the resources used, time to complete, technologies learned and anything else you think would help us select you as a winner.
  • Your submission will be posted on the Safari Books Online blog, safaribooksonline.com/blog.*
  • Tell your friends, co-workers and family to vote for your submission using the comments and star rating system available at safaribooksonline.com/blog no later than Friday, December 11, 2009. Votes will no longer be accepted after this date.These votes will not determine the winners; however, will be considered by the panel of judges who will ultimately select the final three winners.
  • The three winners will receive a
    3-month subscription to Safari Books Online and an invitation to join Tim O’Reilly of O’Reilly Media at a special event in early 2010 in California. If you already have a subscription to Safari Books Online, your current subscription can be extended by 3 months or a new 3 month subscription to the Premium Library can be created for you. Or, you could offer your 3 month subscription to a friend — your choice.
  • Submissions must be
    received no later than Monday, November 30, 2009.
  • Winners will be announced
    on the blog by Friday,
    December 18, 2009.
  • Only one submission per person.
  • Only one vote per person – you may vote for yourself.
